Travis Mills Foundation
In 2012, U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Travis Mills of the 82nd Airborne, was critically injured in Afghanistan while on patrol, losing portions of both legs and both arms. In September 2013 he founded the Travis Mills Foundation (TMF), a non-profit organization, formed to benefit and assist wounded and injured veterans. It supports these heroic men and women and their families through long-term programs that help overcome physical obstacles, strengthen their families, and provide well-deserved rest and relaxation. TMF is creating the first fully accessible retreat for combat wounded veteran families in Maine.Travis Mill's keynote speech teaches and inspires audiences nationwide to "Never give up. Never quit." no matter the obstacles or circumstances. Travis' larger-than-life personality, sense of humor and incredible spirit for life engages audiences from the moment he takes the stage.
On Course Foundation
The vision of On Course Foundation USA is to use the game of golf as a vehicle for successful recovery, with all our members achieving a positive outcome. While for some, a positive outcome will arise merely through developing golf skills, building personal confidence and sharing experiences with like-minded individuals, our ultimate aim is to help members secure work experience opportunities, leading to long-term, meaningful careers in the golf industry.
Veterans Inc.
In 1990, a small "band of brothers", Vietnam Veterans, alarmed at seeing their fellow veterans living in alleys and under bridges, incorporated Veterans Inc. It's mission is to help veterans regain control of their lives in order to eliminate homelessness among veterans. They aim to improve the lives of veterans and their families by providing the highest quality services; and continuing to create new opportunities in the areas of health, employment, and housing. They were there when we needed them we must be there now that they need us.
Auburn Youth and Family Services
Auburn Youth and Family Services was established in 1976 as the Auburn Project, a non-traditional means to meet the needs of Auburn's youth. The focus of the Auburn project was the prevention of drug/alcohol abuse through education and intervention. Over the years, the programs expanded. In 1991, the agency's name was changed to Auburn Youth and Family Services to reflect this growth and expansion of services. The services of AYFS encompass the treatment of the entire family. The strength of our programs and services is prevention and early intervention with families in need. Volvo Cars Auburn and Patrick Motor Group are proud to support the AYFS and their mission by hosting a personal care and pet supply drive, in order to support our neighbors in need.
Other Outreach Involvements Include:
